Made in Denmark has though out the week been on everyone´s lips. Golf and the Danish golf players have had a magnificent home ground, all players have had great applause from the Danes and spectators, and the spectators have been served world class golf.
In many ways this tournament has delivered a hole in one: The European Tour, players, spectators, volunteers, media, sponsors, partners and not to mention the organizers are very satisfied with this maiden Made in Denmark.
“We are delighted with the conditions of the golf course, the presentation of the tournament and the professionalism of the promoter in hosting their first Tour event. The large and enthusiastic support from the Danish fans has made this a great addition to the European Tour,” says Keith Waters, Chief Operating Officer and Director of international Policy, European Tour.
”I have a really good feeling about Made in Denmark. The feedback so far has only been positive. The players also back up the tournament and say it has been fantastic. It is their tournament and we have turned it into a festive celebration of golf. This tournament has contributed to brand Denmark as a golf destination,” says Lars Larsen, JYSK.
”With the 900 volunteers and the thousands of spectators we have created a tournament in Himmerland that has already impressed the players, media, sponsors, partners and the European Tour. We could not have dreamt of a better debut. This week we have put words and images to Made in Denmark and for that we are rather proud,” says Flemming Astrup, Made in Denmark.
