Royal visit at Canoe Sprint World Cup

His Royal Highness the Crown Prince will visit the ICF Canoe Sprint World Cup on Saturday 30 May on Bagsvaerd Lake where the Crown Prince, among other things, will attend some of the competitions, present medals and visit the test center at the event center.

-The Crown Prince has made a visit before and attended our races; the last time was at the ICF Marathon Canoeing World Championships in 2013 at Bagsvaerd Lake. We are very happy and proud that the Crown Prince shows so much interest in us that he will visit our World Cup event. His visit will generate big attention to our sport and the important work that we have done together with Sport Event Denmark, the municipalities of Gladsaxe and Lyngby-Taarbaek and Wonderful Copenhagen in order to arrange an unforgettable event for the attendants and our own athletes. But especially for the international athletes and their assistants, says Ole Tikjøb, the Chairman of Danish Canoe Federation.

The Crown Prince will attend the World Cup this Saturday between 9.45 and 12.30. The organizers have made a program where the Crown Prince will get a tour all around a major international sport event on Danish ground. Among other things, the Crown Prince will present medals and pay the test center a visit, where the audience also will have the opportunity to come in and be tested by the methods of Team Denmark.

– Obviously, the Crown Prince is going to attend the races on the lake, but he’ll also shake hands with some of our athletes and visit our test center. In the test center, the Crown Prince will get the opportunity to see how the physical shape of the audience is tested.

The ICF Canoe Sprint World Cup Copenhagen is arranged by the Danish Canoe Federation in cooperation with the municipalities of Lyngby-Taarbaek and Gladsaxe, Sport Event Denmark and Wonderful Copenhagen.
