1400 riders signed up

1400 cyclists representing 42 different nationalities have so far signed up for the UCI World Cycling Tour Finals in Denmark in September.

The registered riders for the UCI World Cycling Tour Finals have all qualified through one of 13 international qualifying races throughout the world – from Australia, to Norway, Great Britain and Italy.

The goal is 1,500 participants and the organizers; the Danish Cycling Federation, Sport Event Denmark and the local cycling clubs from Aalborg and Hobro and the host cities Aalborg and Mariagerfjord are confident that the number of participants will increase as the last qualifying race – Radweltpokal in Austria is still in the pipeline.

The deadline for registration for the finals is 31 August.

Local main sponsor presented

“We see a strong local support from everywhere in both host cities Hobro and Aalborg, and it is a great pleasure that we can present a local sponsor, DS Gruppen. This makes it possible to provide all participants, officials and spectators some fantastic days in Denmark,” says Niels Sørensen, president, Danish Cycling Federation.

DS Gruppen is one of Europe’s leading industrial groups in the development, production and sale of steel and concrete solutions for construction and manufacturing. The head office is based in Hobro. All of the group’s companies function independently, and are market leaders in their own field.
