Trimmed Sails for Hempel Sailing World Championships Aarhus 2018

The City of Aarhus, the Danish Sailing Federation, Sailing Aarhus and Sport Event Denmark have over the summer trimmed the sails and now better know the ropes for next year’s sailing World Championships.
With this weekend’s Sailing League and M32 Series visiting the bay of Aarhus, the Aarhus Water Week in August and the finalizing of the state of the art world class Sailing Center, the Partners behind now look forward to next year’s sailing world championships.
“Testing and fine tuning are important elements of successfully staging major, international sporting events,” says Lars Lundov, CEO of Sport Event Denmark that partners the Hempel Sailing World Championships. Sport Event Denmark as the national sporting event organization has solid experiences with hosting events within many difference sports.
The City of Aarhus also known as the City of Sails has a long track record in hosting sailing events together with the Danish Sailing Federation and Sport Event Denmark, and this summer the staging also focused on getting all set for next year.
“The learnings from this year are many and we focus on the great potentials in promoting sailing to the Danes and Denmark to the World of Sailing. The fact that some of the races will come really close to the shore just in front of the new International Sailing Center will add huge value to the world championships,” continues Lars Lundov.
